Whatever the reliabilities of the Polls, The Republican control the white house and congress. They can not be put out for at least four years. The only solution for the democrats is to work with the government and debate on policies.

House of Representatives go every two years.
But you are correct, they do themselves no favors with this approach.

Polls said that to republicans as well, they ignored it and won. Fuck the polls, fight him every inch unless we happen to actually agree.

Your tin god Trump says polls are rigged.

Anyway, Republicans have a lower approval rating

    http://www.pewresearch.org/data-trend/political-attitudes/republican-party-favorability/

I remember what happened last time the Repugnant ones were in control of all three branches, and even when they controlled only two. Nothing good ever comes of Repugnant control. And now we have a pathological liar, and a coward, in charge.

Sure, it would be better for the country. It would have been better for the country if the Republicans had tried to work with Obama, as well, instead of harping on birther nonsense and making it a priority that he become a one term president.

But, in today's world of hyper partisanship, who cares about what's best for the country?

My party right or wrong! Ra, ra, zis boom ba, go team!

Blocking his asinine policies was best for America to the small extent that they did. Which is why Eric Cantor etal were shown the door.

This is the poll question the Rasmussen report used. It is a leading question:
Is it better for the Democratic Party if Democrats oppose the president in every way possible, or is it better for their party if they try to work with him?

I have a poll question in the same slanted vein that will guarantee even more than 63%
Is it better for the Democratic Party if Democrats try to attack and set fire to the White House and hold hostage all of Trumps administration, or is it better for their party if they try to work with him.

However here is a poll that is more informative, and would give a more realistic view of how Democrats actually feel. It gives a middle ground option.

Is it better if the Democrats
    1. Oppose the president in every way possible,
    2. Oppose actions they deem is bad for the country,
    3. Work with president Trump.

They are using the stated intent, not making it up themselves.

But are you not one of those who claim that your Repugnant ones tried to work with Obama?

Of course. But I'm referring to the obvious hidden intent -- obfuscation.
