He uses a Stratocaster. Got one of them.
Of course I really want a Rickenbacker too.

Difficult to answer. Jimmy Page but Steve Howe is amazing as well. And Steve Morse is insanely good technically. But what Robert Johnson could do in a crap guitar in the 20s hasn't been duplicated.
And Gilmore is no slouch.
