Perhaps they think they have not lost for good. Giving time and seeing the many problems raised Brexit might be more trouble than it is worth.
If you delay long enough it might never happen.

Certainly could be but about equally possible if the EU collapsing altogether.

I think that some ministers are sounding things out with counterparts to see what is viable to avoid too many renegotiating. The problem is that people want to see it officially to go ahead to stop all these people trying to find a loophole to stop it. It's damaging the country and the economy, and morale needs to be boosted.

The divide in the country needs to stop, and the only way is once everyone knows Brexit has been triggered.

I do not think there is much chance of EU collapsing. They are getting new members every year. They will miss UK but will survive.

Time will tell. Members already didn't like Merkel acting like she us in charge and with this "refegee" mess it's gone off the scale as none of them want to afford it since it makes it impossible to buy votes.
Throw in the muslim atrocities and it's a very dangerous mix

Yes, but they need money to survive and they miss the UK contribution without a doubt. Then as most migrants won't have the choice to come to the UK to work, they will find another country, and other countries are wary of this.

The new countries joining? What do you mean? Turkey? That will suck more from the coffers, and Balkan states of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Albania wish to join, but how much money will they contribute and what are the chances the citizens will flock to a western country to work as soon as they can?

Not every country that joins the EU will contribute much at first but they will in the future. The EU Is a common Market where all have to contribute in some way.

Merkel was on track for a Nobel Peace Price accepting all of those refugees until they started raping German women and Children. Attacking German nationals and so on...

Shes now on track for a civil outburst - job well done Dr Merkel!

If Turkey joins, that's the last nail in the EU coffin. Turkey would bankrupt the EU - I'm glad the UK is leaving (eventually).
Also I hope the EU collapses - it'll display what a mockery it is anyway.

Only had a part of the article so I don't know what they are worried about.
It's not like they will get deported or be unablessed to visit family.
Sounds like a knee jerk.

Leaving the EU was never going to happen overnight, but the fact that the UK government as hardly even mentioned the vote to leave in the last few weeks makes people think they are trying to brush it under the carpet but we all know that will never happen.

In fact there IS more chance of the EU collapsing before we get chance to leave and maybe that is the reason we are hanging on. If that does happen then I think a lot of countries will be trying to stay on the good side of the UK, and the countries that have said they don't see the UK as an important country might soon well be changing their tunes a bit.

And if there is a crowd of countries doing it then it WILL get done quickly.

It does seem to be collapsing, I mean no one is going to be happy if Turkish people have free reign to move to any EU country. Now, look at Apple and Ireland; both are appealing the EU decision and are saying the EU has no right to interfere in member states and how they decide to structure their tax rates.
